When should I call 911?
911 should be reserved to report serious crimes in progress or other instances in which life or property are in serious jeopardy. Fires or medical emergencies should be called 911. Using 911 to seek information or for non-emergency situations ties up valuable resources that could otherwise be directed to more serious matters.
