News Release: City partnership brings smiles to children & parents.

November 1, 2018- On Monday, October 29th, the City of Fort Lupton celebrated a partnership with the Colorado Health Foundation during the Cannery Park Grand Re-Opening.  The City of Fort Lupton received a grant earlier this year for $80,000 to upgrade the park.

“The park isn’t even recognizable from what is was before,” said Assistant City Manager Chris Cross. “This park has become a gathering place for our community and another reason we can enjoy our great City together.”

Changes to the play structure included removing an old playset that had one small slide and developing a new playground that added a 50x29 foot pour & play base that provides additional protection from injuries and a superior custom play structure that is meant for children from 5-12 years of age.  Also included in the upgrade is a water fountain, picnic tables, benches and an additional sidewalk for a seamless play area.

The City of Fort Lupton would like to thank the Colorado Health Foundation for their generous contribution to this project. To learn more about the Foundation, please visit www.coloradohealth.org.
