Return Process for Evidence:
After authorization by the Court of record and/or the District Attorney’s Office, property designated as evidence can be released. The actual release can be accomplished by making an appointment with the Evidence Technician by calling 720-928-4056. Returns can generally be done during normal office hours (8:00AM to 5PM) on a weekday.
Return Process for Safekeeping:
The release of property held for safekeeping can be accomplished by making an appointment with the Evidence Technician by calling 720-928-4056. Returns can generally be done during normal office hours (8:00AM to 5PM) on a weekday. After the property is held for 90 days, it will be disposed of according to Department and City policies.
